I started writing for fun in 2001 with an idea for a short story, I soon realised that with the help of spell check on a PC being dyslexic was no longer such a problem so I started to think about taking my writing/ideas further.
With many ideas coming fast and furious over the next few years I started to write them down and with the encouragement from my partner Natalia, in 2010 I started work on my first screenplay The Revenge of Mr Piggywinkle”
Spending a lot of time commuting by train for work around Sussex and Kent gave me plenty of time to write and the odd glass of wine with Natalia when I got home gave me the chance to discuss my ideas and continue to get the encouragement I needed to carry on and overcome my self-doubt due to being dyslexic.
While still working on The Revenge of Mr Piggywinle and its sequel/prequel I started to get side tracked with an idea for a children’s book at the start of 2014 so I started writing down the ideas which came fast, forming not one but a series of books involving two main characters.
I’m still writing The Revenge of Mr Piggywinkle including the sequel/prequel, popping back from time to time to expand/add new characters and include new scenes/ideas. As the screenplays continue to grow and take a life of their own, soon I plan to concentrate on nothing but these and bring them all together.
Currently I am concentrating on completing my first children’s book using everything I have learnt over the past 15 years and hope to continue to learn and write, with many ideas still yet to come.
